Dear Liberty family & friends

Our Gratitude Gathering last night was such a pleasure for us, especially hearing testimonies of praise and having some time to visit over a delicious meal. Many thanks to all who participated, especially those who stepped up to serve as coordinators (Hannah and Marsha) and decorators (Jody) and all who help get the fellowship and kitchen space cleaned up so quickly – you all make it a fun and fast (!) team effort.

In Communion next Sunday, we welcome all members and guests as we share the Lord’s Table in worship together prior to Kids Classes.

We share a rich heritage in the calling Christ gives us to “come and dine” with Him just as His disciples were welcomed to feast with Him in honor of His atoning sacrificial death. We’re told in I Corinthians 11:26 that “as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” It’s in light of His conquest on our behalf that we express our congregation’s core conviction that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

How grateful we are for the fullness of Gospel grace that is displayed in the simplest of symbols – the fruit of the vine and unleavened bread. Join us as we reflect, remember and rejoice in the redeeming love of Jesus Christ, together at His Table.

Christmas Season Quick-notes

We’ll include more details on the December schedule next week – but please note these two dates for your Christmas calendars:

  1. Our “Birthday Breakfast for Jesus” event is back again! On Sunday December 18th @ 10:00 AM we celebrate Jesus’ birthday together! It’s a fun, festive family breakfast for all ages!
  2. Christmas Candlelight Worship – our annual evening worship on the night prior to Christmas Eve – Friday December 23rd @ 7:00 PM

Operation Christmas Child Update

Its’ not too late to join this year’s outreach to bless children in many parts of the world through the vast network of churches supporting Operation Christmas Child! Pick up info at our OCC table in the sanctuary – cartons available there or you can use a shoebox or plastic container of your choice. We have a table in the fellowship hall for incoming boxes, so bring yours on in tomorrow or next Sunday. On Communion Sunday, November 20th, we’ll pray over these Christmas Care cartons together. November 20th is the last Sunday to bring Operation Christmas Child boxes to church. It’s such a joy to be a part of this massive good news gift vision for needy children in our world.

Challenge Farm Corn Project Update

We give thanks for many who have contributed in this season to supply Challenge Farm, Kitale Kenya with the urgently needed annual corn supply at $28 per bag of corn.
Your offerings thus far will provide for 52 bags of corn in their program – as well as our ongoing monthly support for Founder/Director Cheri Thompson in this vital time of transition while new on-site directors are being trained. Challenge Farm’s multi-faceted program of providing a safe, healthy, Christ-centered life-skills development opportunity for children, teens and young adults who live, learn and get launched into vocations and their own businesses in and around Nairobi is inspirational and effective.

Thanks to you all for keeping Challenge Farm in prayer for all the current food and infrastructure needs to be abundantly supplied.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you so that, having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8)
