Greetings to you all

Oh, how the grass grows as we get all these rainy days in May!

I hope this Mother’s Day weekend is a delightful time for each of you and your families.
It’s an honor to celebrate moms! We know how many ways that mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers impact us all, and we often feel inadequate to fully express our gratitude. Mother’s Day is certainly much more than a day – it’s a symbol of the honor due to all the ladies whose love lights up our world! As most multi-tasking moms know, the best rewards in life often come in unexpected ways. We come alongside them to celebrate the unique ways God has gifted each lady.
We’re delighted that Cafe Liberty time each Sunday gives us all a meeting-point that we would otherwise miss, to connect and welcome others for Worship @ 10:15 AM.
In the coming weeks, there are a few things to highlight here (other than our regular service times) for which we share an open invitation to all:
Sunday, May 19th (after morning service) Ladies meeting up at Bear Branch Nature Center for a prayer and nature walk. (Info in the Evite from Marsha Nusbaum).
Sunday, May 26th – On Memorial Day weekend, we celebrate the incredible achievements of patriots whose sacrificial service in the U.S. Armed Forces is part of a rich legacy in the heart of America. Join us in honoring those among us who served and remembering those who served so valiantly in the past.
CPR/AED Training opportunities (reduced cost for Liberty members and friends) here in the Liberty fellowship hall
We’re pleased to offer the American Heart Association-certified training, with Instructor Myriam Lewis, for anyone interested in learning basic CPR techniques. The cost is only $35 to you for the two-hour course that Myriam is offering on these dates:
Tuesday, May 21st @ 4:00 PM
Tuesday, June 18th @ 4:00 PM
Please register in the sanctuary at our Connections Table or reply to this email to let us know your interest in either the May 21st or June 18th session.
Water Baptism Orientation ~ the basics on believers’ baptism and a Q&A opportunity open for members, guests and friends.

At the heart of the Great Commission is a command that represents our wholehearted response in active faith to the glory of the Risen Lord! His command
includes the experience of baptism.
Our first of two water baptism orientations is specifically for those 18 and over who have not yet been baptized or were baptized in infancy. We welcome you to this time of learning together on Wednesday, May 29th at 7:00 PM.
Our second water baptism class is for kids (anyone under age 18) with at least one parent attending. This will be on Wednesday June 19th at 7:00 PM. Please see the sign-up sheet on the Connections Table to attend either or both of these times together.
In these sessions, we open God’s Word to see how baptism activates faith and empowers a rich understanding of the calling of Jesus for each of us. Then we’ll cover a few practical steps that help us serve each person and his or her friends and family members.
It’s our goal to walk alongside those who have questions in any area of spiritual growth.  We look forward to seeing you and/or welcoming anyone in your family or among your friends who would like to learn more about what baptism means and why it is such a vital part of God’s plan for expressing and experiencing His grace in our lives. Our baptism services are planned a few weeks after the orientation, to include anyone who is on this journey of discovery and celebrate with each one.

“The Everlasting God, the LORD,
the Creator of the ends of the earth
does not become weary or tired!
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might, He increases strength.”
(Isaiah 40:28-29)
In His love,
Pastor Joe
