Greetings to you all
With a warm welcome to Café Liberty and Worship tomorrow, we’re grateful for the ever-green promises of God!
In wisdom that humbles and amazes us, God’s Word not only instructs us for daily life, it also anticipates our problems in life. In fact, many of God’s promises serve as caution lights in a perilous world, showing the child of God that he or she needs HIs wisdom prior to making a choice!
Promises play a vital role in shaping our understanding of the ways of God. They are designed by God to be re-planted and re-ignited as we face new problems.
How’s your first week of 2023 gone? Many of us faced totally unexpected obstacles as well as opportunities.
You might be working on a new goal or returning to an unfinished project. Whether at home or at work or busily on-the-run with a long to-do list echoing in your brain, as a child of God there are promises TO you and FOR you that are vital for each step in your future.
As we saw last Sunday in Proverbs 24:3-4, our lives are compared to a house that must be furnished well and wisely. God’s promises are a treasury of vital resources from which we draw again and again to truly “furnish” our souls so we can be well-equipped for both the good times as well as those ominous obstacles that we find along the way.
Our invitation to each of you is a shared call to worship. But when we say “worship” we mean much more than the brief opportunity we cherish each week to worship together. In worship, we bring honor to God together so we may walk in a worshipful way in the midst of every new situation we encounter.
However, the overflow of worship is impossible without the IN-flow. How grateful we are for the promise of Jesus that true worship provides a “spring of water” with the hearts of His redeemed people. How vitally worshipers today need to hear and receive exactly what Jesus explained to a Samaritan woman on a day that totally re-shaped her future:
“Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:14 NIV)
With that promise powerfully awakening our awareness of worship, we can share an adventure of discovery that brings God’s promises directly into each of our daily challenges.
Join us! Café Liberty @ 9:45 AM until Worship @ 10:15 AM ~ How grateful we are for the openness and care of all who share the vision for serving Christ together.
