In the midst of a rainy and rather chilly April, there are projects taking place here for which we are very grateful.

We see many examples these days of how volunteers taking on special projects for our church’s facilities are making such a difference. We also want to thank again the generous givers whose contributions to the Rainy-Day Fund as well as to the General Fund, make the funding available for those who donate their skills, talent and time.

A couple of things to highlight quickly this morning:

1) This weekend’s work on cleaning and painting the steeple, tree work and other facility projects – MANY thanks to Jonathan Nusbaum. Chuck Blevins and Brian Mobley and those who assist them.

2) The ongoing work in recent weeks that Jerry and Patty Reese have done on several projects here at church, including the essential wall and ceiling preparations in the social hall for the painting portion of our May 4^th workday. On each project of repair, upgrade and/or replacement, their work has been so timely and valuable, plus making it much easier for others to help in various ways.

As ladies know from the GroupMe updates from Patty, we’re keeping Jerry in prayer for his upcoming surgery (April 30th) and we pray for good results from his upcoming stress test (a week prior to surgery) on April 23rd. Join us in lifting Jerry and Patty in prayer for rest, healing and wellness as we walk alongside them in faith.
